Beyond Comfort With Luxury Bedding

Luxury BeddingFor some luxury bedding that is beyond and out of the comforter…er, comfort zone, see the people at Plumeria Bay. These folks must have at minimum a thousand luxury comforters alone. The photos themselves just make one sigh and want to slip in between these and their other choice linens and bedding. They even have something called silk-covered comforters – they are all 900 fill white goose down.

These are guaranteed to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winters. These will run you anywhere from one thousand to nineteen hundred dollars or thereabouts. The fabric, though, is 45% silk and 55% Egyptian cotton.

They also handle four grades of Mulberry silk comforters at much, much lower prices. However, these are advertised as 100% silk. These come in King, Queen and Twin size of course. The top of the line will run you just over four hundred dollars. Any of these would probably be the finest investment in silk bedding that you could ever make.

By definition, all silk bedding could be called “organic”. But these folks also have Organic Cotton down comforters, if silk happens to be too smooth for you. It is dye and chemical free – which is good for you and your loved ones and the environment. Thread count is also important for these – its 262, which is very good. Goose down fill is available at 650, 750 or 800.

Traditional down fabric comforters do have a slightly higher thread count – 300. Goose down fill is available at 650 or 750. Traditional sizes are, of course, King, Queen and Twin. Even California King Size is available in this collection.

You should probably know that the “fill” number refers to the warmth and insulation of the goose down. The higher the fill number, the better the insulation, comfort and or warmth. One may also equate the fill number with the luxury of the product – 900 being the highest.

Of course, when one talks about “beyond the comforter zone”, one should at least mention the good people at Bed, Bath & Beyond. These folks also have dozens of product offerings in the luxury comforter section. A number of high end makers appear in their repertoire; Liz Claiborne, Joseph Abboud, Nautica, Tommy Bahama – to name just a few.

Specialty luxury comforters include Allergy Luxe ® Anti-Pet Dander Comforters for those with just that sensitivity. These are just some of the luxury bedding, comforters and providers that might be worth knowing and said to go beyond comfort. luxury bedding
